Anokhi Media Commemorates 15 Years with Star-Studded Summit and Masquerade Ball

The ANOKHI POWER Summit and The ANOKHI POWER Ball 2018 rolled out the red carpet and welcomed some of the world’s most renowned South Asian names in the areas of music, business, technology, media, glamour and crusader, in Toronto on Saturday November 3rd.

The day began with a VVIP networking buffet breakfast, showcasing multiple vendor booths such as Free-Them, T-Fal and Rubicon.

ANOKHI founder & CEO, Raj Girn, shared her vision for the brand, its evolution over the course of 15 years, and her decision to bring all the current brand properties together to create the ‘ANOKHI EMPOWER ME’ campaign, commemorating their 15 year anniversary.

 

Charity organization Free-Them‘s founder and CEO, Shae Invidiata, spoke on the initiative’s dedication to raising awareness and funds to abolish human trafficking in Canada and abroad by partnering with people, organizations, & businesses to fight human trafficking.

ANOKHI Magazine‘s Editor-In-Chief, Hina Ansari, shared The ANOKHI POWER List 2018. 50 profiles were released over a course of 30 days leading up to the event, celebrating the success stories of South Asians that have made a great impact in the global environment over the past 15 years. Many awards were presented along with various fireside chats and raffle prizes.

Later in the night, the ANOKHI POWER Ball 2018 began with over 30 celebrities and personalities walking down a 36 foot red carpet, which also included ANOKHI Pulse TV’s famous gold couch lounge, hosted by Ruchika Bindra. To celebrate the Diwali Masquerade Ball theme, guests arrived in costume and masks.

The night was led by City TV’s Devo Brown and was packed with musical performances from Raghav, Horsepowar, DJ Fizza and DJ TNT. It was definitely a night to remember!
