Be With the Guy Who Wants to Marry You, Not “Hang Out” With You

Blogger nikitamor for YourTango breaks down why, when it comes to relationships, good guys should finish first.

Be with a real man who actually deserves you.

Don’t go out with an overgrown man-child who can’t get his sh*t together.

Don’t go out with the scared little boy who is afraid of love.

Don’t go out with the man who calls his past girlfriends crazy.

Don’t go out with the man who thinks that women are disposable.

Don’t go out with the man with such a fragile masculinity that he needs notches on his belt to prove it to himself.

Don’t go out with the man who needs ego boosts from vulnerable women to feed his insecurity.

Don’t go out with the man who pretends he’s madly in love, and then changes his mind.

Don’t go out with the man who wants to be friends and go with the flow.

Don’t go out with the man who wastes his own time, and wastes yours as well.

Don’t go out with the man who blows hot and cold.

Don’t go out with the man who thinks that players are cool, and who puts his homies before you.

Don’t go out with the man who flirts with every hot girl on social media.

Don’t go out with the man who enjoys playing games, manipulating, and controlling you.

Don’t go out with the man who treats you like an option.

Don’t go out with the man who doesn’t realize how special you are, and who doesn’t appreciate what you have to offer.

But what is the type of guy you should date?

Go out with the man who cares about you, who loves you, and works to build a great relationship.

Go with the man who is afraid to lose you, because he’s never met anyone with your combination of beauty and brains.

Go out with the man who does not want you to ever question his feelings, because he’s 100 hundred percent sure about you.

Go out with the man who makes you appreciate all the rare and unique things about yourself. Go out with the man who makes you love yourself harder, because he loves you so much.

Trust me when I say real men exist, and they want to date you.

They want to buy you flowers, even when you say you don’t want them.

They want to see you smile because they’re happy when you’re happy.

They want to think about cool and unconventional date ideas so you have an unforgettable time.

They want to put your pretty face on social media and tell everyone you’re with them. They want to call you their girlfriend or wife as soon as possible so that someone else doesn’t jump in.

They want to be emotionally vulnerable and share their life story with you.

They want to pay the bill on the first, second, even the third date.

They want to help you fix your car or pick you up from the airport.

They want to cuddle and have deep conversations.

They want to make memories, share inside jokes, and laugh together.

They want to explore the world and go on adventures with you.

They want to help you grow to become the best possible version of yourself.

They want to plan a future, buy a house, and raise children with you. They want to marry you, because they think that you’re beautiful inside and out.

There are men out there who actually want to make you happy and want you to make them happy. I know you may not be used to it, but there are men out there who will treat you so well that you’ll never settle for poor treatment ever again.

The type of guy you should date wants to make sure they don’t mess up so that no one can easily replace them.

They want to make you feel fantastic, optimistic, and enthusiastic while you’re in the relationship. They want to make you feel safe, comfortable, and secure about the future of the relationship. They want to make you feel like you’re the only girl for them. They want to highlight your good qualities and minimize your flaws.

They want to be there for you when you’ve failed at something. They want to lift you up when you’re feeling low. They want to support and help you, because they have your back. They want to make you believe in your own potential because they have faith in you.

Go out with a good man who wants to date and marry you and not some immature loser who wants to “hang out.” He’s an idiot and a lovely lady like yourself shouldn’t spare a moment for someone who might never man up.

Maybe one day he’ll change, but he’s not worth the time and effort to risk your emotional well-being. Maybe one day he’ll realize what he lost, but by then you’ll see him for who he really is, and you’ll be much happier with someone else.
