Dear Sylvester Stallone! Here’s Why You Should Not Be Worried About India’s Rambo Remake

The Hollywood actor is worried that the Hindi Rambo might not be up to the mark

The Hindi remake of the iconic Sylvester Stallone film Rambo, starring Tiger Shroff in the title role has been announced.

‘Sly’ Stallone has acknowledged the Indian remake, with a rather grave concern. “I hope they don’t wreck it,” he posted on Instagram. Soon after, Tiger posted a heartfelt message on the image sharing website saying that he “grew up with this character” and that he is “humbled and blessed to step into his (Stallone’s) shoes years later”.

Sly does have a Bollywood connection. He had a glorified cameo in Akshay Kumar-starrer Kambakkht Ishq, playing himself.

But the Hollywood actor needn’t worry too much.

The bulk of Siddharth Anand’s filmography is made up of remakes that might have got mixed reviews, but nearly always made money. Yes, Bang Bang included.

Also, save for A Flying Jatt, Tiger has never flopped. Moreover, for a relative newcomer, he has a steady fan following with children as well as adults. He is known for his action stunts and dancing skills (which we hope he doesn’t need for Rambo).

Of course, only time will tell if Anand, Shroff and company ‘wreck’ Sly’s iconic film.
