Global Party Starters Released Their Music Video For ‘Tonight’

Upcoming Canadian EDM DJ and production crew, Global Party Starters recently released their single, “Tonight”.

The high-energy club anthem is being promoted to Top 40 radio and features Platinum award-winning artist, Elise Estrada.  In keeping with their focus of featuring South Asian talent, the lead of the video is played by rising star, Kamantha Naidoo.

Major progress has been made in World music by artists like JoSH, Delhi 2 Dublin, and Cassius Khan, but South Asians are drastically underrepresented in mainstream music, specifically electronic music. Global Party Starters goal is to show Canada’s music industry that South Asians can compete in the mainstream music world.

To help with this monumental task, co-founder of Global Party Starters, DJ A-SLAM teamed up with his long time music mentor Adam H. for the single. Adam H’s production credits include tracks by Jeremih, Ray J, Sarah Geronimo, Loverboy, Ne-Yo, and Kat Deluna. The video was shot and edited by Be True Cineworks.

Global Party Starters is comprised of three members from Canada’s east and west coasts. JUNO nominee and Western Canadian Music Award winner, DJ A-SLAM hails from Vancouver; DJ REKing, is a fresh face on the Vancouver music scene; and MC SatsB, founder of desiFEST – Canada’s largest South Asian concert, is from Toronto. In their short career as a group, Global Party Starters has already been nominated for two Canadian Song writing Competition awards and recently won a prestigious Telus STORYHIVE music video grant. Their music was also featured in CBC’s South Asian steaming playlist last month.
