Meditation for Everyone
Meditation does not have to be complicated and the best part is you don’t need any fancy equipment. All you need is yourself and a quite space. Once you have found a quite space then sit or lie there comfortably. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in as your stomach comes out, then exhale as your stomach goes in. Try to clear your mind and focus on taking big deep breaths. With every exhale try to relax every body part, starting with your head and working your way down to your toes. If you find it hard to clear your mind, remember that it will take time and practice. Also, you can always just let your mind wonder to wherever it takes you. Just lying there in silence and relaxing can make all the difference in the world.
Mediating can be very powerful and has been associated with many health benefits such as:
- Increases immune function
- Helps you concentrate better
- Helps you sleep better
- Makes you happier and in turn that rubs off on other people around you
- Calms oneself
- Reduces stress
- Reduces aging
- And many more…
So, when’s the best time to mediate? Anytime you have time. Everyone’s schedule is different, so really it’s when you have time. Some people like to mediate just before bed and this helps them sleep better. Pick whichever time works for you and just enjoy, relax and connect with your inner self.
