Nostalgic About The 90s: TV Shows to Re-watch Now

One of the most-talked about shows of 2016, Stranger Things was steeped in nostalgia for the ’80s. But with a new year upon us, it’s time to look back to a new decade — a time when the internet was just starting to take off, music was grungy, and fashion trends included flannel and scrunchies. Here are five classic ’90s gems on CraveTV to help you relive the Gen X era:

Seinfeld. What are the ’90s without Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer? A show about nothing with memorable catchphrases like “yada yada” and “no soup for you!”, Seinfeld continues to be relatable to multiple generations.

Frasier. A spin-off of the beloved comedy Cheers, this show was unapologetically highbrow and old-fashioned. We still think about Frasier’s chic Seattle apartment where his Coco Chanel replica couch clashed with dad Martin’s ancient, iconic easy chair.

Beavis & Butt-Head. The Mike Judge Collection. Beavis & Butt-Head was a hugely successful MTV pop culture staple. The animated duo will always remain our inner teenager. Huh-huh, huh-huh.

Twin Peaks. Who killed Laura Palmer? This surreal drama, centred around a murder investigation, became a cult hit. From the twisted mind of David Lynch and featuring Agent Cooper himself, Kyle MacLachlan, we can look forward to the rebooted Twin Peaks this year on CraveTV.

Sex and the City. Six seasons, two films, and a prequel were not enough. Dive back into the original series, where Samantha makes PR look glamourous, Carrie convinces us that a writer’s salary can afford Manolos, Charlotte’s Park Avenue apartment makes you want to move to Manhattan, and Miranda, well, no one wants to be her — she works too much.
