Satya Paul Presents: Mata Hari Autumn/Winter 2015 Collection
Satya Paul, iconic designer of Indian ethnic-wear, celebrates her thirty years in the fashion industry by designing a new collection, titled ‘Mata Hari’, co-designed by celebrity style icon, Gauri Khan.
Dutch courtesan, Mata Hari, inspires the collection. The pieces within this collection are based on her life, separating into three looks: Temptation, Jewelled, and Pierced. The line is comprised with signature Satya Paul prints, enhanced with newer fabrics, silhouettes, and deep, mystical contrasts that explore Mata Hari’s life.
This collection is absolutely mesmerizing. The colour contrasts, the embellishments, and the matchless appeal of each piece that Satya Paul and Gauri Khan have created in this collection. I have not yet seen some of these looks in Indian fashion yet, and I think this line is an incredible way to celebrate Satya Paul’s thirty years in designing. It is also a great start in terms of taking the creativity of Indian ethnic-wear designing to the next level.
