REDKEN RECAP: BOLD, TEXTURED HAIR AT DAY TWO OF TORONTO WOMEN’S FASHION WEEK

On day two of Toronto Women’s Fashion Week (TWFW), Redken sent models down the runway with beautifully textured, trend-setting hair. International Redken Artist, Jorge Joao, worked with each designer to create a unique look that elevated and completed their vision.

Jorge’s distinctive looks incorporated tousled textures, braids, twists and more. Please find below the how-to’s for textured rope twists at ROCH, and edgy French twists from Stephan Caras. Additional shows from day two included Evan BiddellTFS Emerging Talent, and Miriam Baker.

ROCH

GET THE LOOK:

  1. Prep damp hair with Redken Guts 10 ($23.49) from roots to ends to give wet texture, raking through with your fingers
  2. Starting at the temple on one side of the head twist a section of hair to create a rope twist and wrap it around to the opposite side, securing with a bobby pin
  3. Do the same thing on the opposite side, criss-crossing the rope twists over each other to create a piecey, textured look
  4. Continue to create rope twists, alternating from side to side and criss-crossing the twists over each other until you reach the back of the ear
  5. Spray Redken Forceful 23 ($21.99) on rope twists for hold
  6. Finish with Redken Shine Flash 02 ($20.99) and Redken Guts 10 ($23.49) for added texture if needed

#HOTTIP: Don’t be afraid to play with different elements –  such as rope twists and wet texture –  to create one cohesive look of beautifully controlled chaos
