Trillium Health Partners Foundation celebrates the 17th anniversary of one of the GTA’s premiere fundraising galas of  the year, the Trillium Diwali Gala to be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Pearson Convention Center.

Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is an annual South Asian festival that celebrates the last harvest of the season through a glimmering festival of light that invites abundance for all in the new year.

This highly anticipated event raises funds towards the highest priority needs of Trillium Health Partners’ three hospital sites including the Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga Hospital, and west Toronto’s Queensway Health Centre.

Over the last 16 years, with the support of th generous community and sponsors, the Diwali Gala has raised more than $9 million for life-saving programs at Trillium Health Partners. All proceeds from this year’s Trillium Diwali Gala will support Trillium Health Partners’ Regional Stroke and Neurosurgical program.

The featured performers this year are the internationally acclaimed Rhythm Dhol Bass (RDB). Founded by brothers Kuly, Manj, and Surj, RDB is one of the world’s foremost platinum-selling South Asian entertainers, singers, producers and musicians. Since their initial 2001 release, they’ve attracted an international fan base of millions from across the globe. This fall, they will be bringing their distinct sound to the GTA.

The Trillium Diwali Gala attracts over 1,000 guests from the community’s elite demographics, including health care professionals, business and community leaders, and philanthropists each year. Previous attendees have included ET Canada host, Sangita Patel, and CP24 hosts, Pooja Handa and Gurdeep Ahluwalia. “We’re excited to celebrate our 17th Trillium Diwali Gala supporting the Regional Stroke Centre,” remarks Steve Hoscheit, President and CEO, Trillium Health Partners Foundation.
