Give Back This Thanksgiving: Feeding the 5K
This Sunday, the first ever edition of Feeding the 5K will be held in Toronto (held in London and Paris and Amsterdam and more around the world). On Thanksgiving Sunday at EDIT, there will be offered FREE communal meal for 5000 people made entirely from food that would otherwise be wasted. No admission fee to EDIT is required to participate and to eat at this event. It is completely free of cost.
In GTA last year, 1 billion pounds of food was wasted, and Feeding the 5K seeks to highlight this issue as well as draw the community together to make change. Chef Bob Blumer and Chef Cory Vitello, alongside George Brown College and Second Harvest will be onsite serving up from 1-4pm.
YOU can participate in this amazing community event. There are many ways to get involved leading up to Feeding the 5K and on the big Thanksgiving Sunday.
