Winter Wonder Workout
For some of us this is the busiest time of the year; lots of holiday parties and shopping! And for some of us this can also be a stressful time with so much going on. This holiday season bet the stress with these quick high intensity workouts. Choose from any of the 4 workouts.
Before each workout remember to warm-up by going up and down the stairs or march around the room.
Workout 1 – You will need a pair of running shoes, comfortable clothing and a skipping rope (optional).
100 skips
100 squats
100 skips
100 alternating lunges
50 jumping jacks
50 sit-ups
Workout 2 – You will need a pair of running shoes, comfortable clothing and weights.
50 knees-up
25 biceps curls
50 knees-up
25 overhead shoulder press
50 knees-up
25 triceps kickbacks
50 knees-up
25 bench press
Workout 3 – You will need a pair of running shoes and comfortable clothing.
1 minute jog
1 minute wall sit
1 minute jog
1 minute alternating lunges
1 minute jog
1 minute plank
-repeat one more time
Workout 4 – Yoga – You will need comfortable clothing and a yoga mat or a carpeted area. Hold each pose for 30 seconds or longer.
Mountain pose – take 5 big deep breaths
Forward bend

Upward dog
Downward dog
Warrior 1 on the right side

For workouts 1,2 and 3 stretch the major muscles you have worked for 20 to 30 seconds. These short workouts will keep your workout habit going and make you feel better! Happy Holidays!
