Celebrating Canada Day With Family
How To Celebrate Canada Day This Year With Family
Happy 152nd birthday, Canada! Whether you decide to stay in or go out to celebrate this special day this year, we have you covered. Here are some of our ideas on how to spend this special day with your loved ones.
Decorate The Sidewalks
If you’re staying indoors before the big fireworks display at night, why not give your sidewalks a little splash of colour and show off your Canadian spirit? Grab some red and white chalk and the kids can go crazy. The best part – barely any clean up is involved!
Explore the Outdoors
Another perfect way to celebrate Canada Day is to go outside and explore what Canada has to offer! Make use of the long weekend by booking a campsite ahead of time at a Canadian National Park. Pitching a tent, swimming at the beach, and roasting marshmallows together by the fire pit… A bonus tip, end the night with a couple of sparklers or fireworks to light up the skies!
Canadian Beaver Cupcakes
The beaver is Canada’s national symbol – it’s on the Canadian nickel after all! These beaver cupcakes are adorable and absolutely delicious. You are going to need your favourite chocolate cupcake recipe, lots of chocolate icing, a couple of M&M’s (brown and red), and some white frosting. Fireworks
You’re sure to hear a couple of fireworks wherever you are on Canada Day. Check out your city’s events calendar to find out where the fireworks will be taking place this year. Don’t forget your cameras and a couple of blankets and light jackets to keep yourself warm late at night!
