Rowenta Canada Celebrates 10 Years of Supporting Seneca Fashion Students

Since 2008, Rowenta has sponsored the ‘Best in Show’ award at Seneca’s Annual Thesis Fashion Show

Luxury home and linen care company Rowenta Canada is celebrating 10 years of supporting young fashion students in Toronto through their sponsorship of the Seneca’s Annual Thesis Fashion Show. Since 2008, Rowenta has sponsored the ‘Best in Show’ winner, providing a $1,000 sponsorship.

On April 26, 2018, a group of industry experts including fashion designers Lucian Matis, Miriam Baker, as well as editors from top tier fashion publications selected Charlotte Li as the winner of the Rowenta sponsorship. Charlotte Li is a young designer and graduate of the Fashion Arts Program, who immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong in 2011. Her winning collection featured a bold colour palette and exaggerated silhouettes inspired by Van Gogh’s impressionist paintings and created through patching different fabrics together.

“We could not be more thrilled to support Charlotte Li in her design journey,” said Noel Gallegos, Senior Product Manager of Rowenta Canada. “Our goal is to empower the future of the fashion industry and give them the tools they need, including our garment care products, to succeed. This is why we see the Rowenta partnership with Seneca as a natural fit and hope to continue supporting the students for years to come.”

With Rowenta’s garment care products like the Steam Force iron, Compact Steam Generator or the X-Cel Garment Steamer, every garment will look flawless. Rowenta not only provides Seneca’s “Best in Show” winner with economic help, they also provide them with the right tools to reach their full potential. Perfection, consistency and intelligence are key to Rowenta’s vision and with their garment care products, the designers of tomorrow will be inspired by unrivalled professional results.
