Spend Your March Break In Paradise

Sunny Destinations To Plan Your Winter Getaway This March Break

With the kids out of school for an entire week, why not bring the whole family to sunny paradise? Instead of drying off snow pants and mopping up the slushy floors, picture yourself lounging on a beach chair soaking up the rays while the children are playing in the pool nearby. Check out our list below to help jumpstart your winter getaway.

Veradero, Cuba

A favourite hotspot for Canadians is Cuba. There are so many all inclusive family friendly resorts in Veradero, Cuba that are also only a few hours drive from Havana. Visitors often book bus trip excursions to the picturesque town (complete with antique cars and vintage buildings) and then return to the resort at night to unwind. All-inclusive resorts have the whole family covered with food, drinks, and even entertainment – from late night stage productions, children activity schedules, and so much more.

Key West, Florida

Avoid the March Break frenzy by heading over to Key West, Florida instead of Orlando. What’s there to do in the Keys? It’s the most southernmost point in the United States most known for water-sports, beaches, and historical sights. Head to Duval Street, where you can explore hole-in-the-wall bars, outdoor cafes, art galleries, ghost tours, conch train tours (free for kids 12 and under), the most amazing sunsets and so much more! A perfect sunny getaway – from the weather and the crowds.

Belize

This Caribbean island is a perfect winter getaway. There are so many cultural and sightseeing activities perfect for the whole family; from archaeology tours to cave kayaking, to feeding howler monkeys in the jungles. Belize is a small island which makes travelling from place to place extremely convenient.

Caribbean Cruises

Looking for even more adventure? Why not hop onto a cruise ship and sail across the Caribbean Sea! Like an all-inclusive resort, everything is already planned for you. From meals to multiple island destinations with multiple island excursions – all you have to do is schedule in the flights and when to board the ship. Boarding a cruise ship allows every member of the family to stay occupied. Casinos, bingo nights, kids’ clubs, discos, pools, and lets not forget the 24 hour buffet lines… What’s not to love?
