Caryl Baker: Papaya Perfecting Range, and Limited Edition Spring 2016 Bloom Colour Collection

It’s important to have the right skin care regime depending on the time of year. I was fortunate enough to try out a few products from the Caryl Baker Papaya Perfecting range, including the Papaya Perfecting Daily Renewing Moisturizer, $49.00, and the Papaya Perfecting Eye Awakening Treatment, $38.00.3The moisturizer has a nice, fruity like scent (hence the name, Papaya), and also includes SPF 30, which is so important to have and rare to find in a daily moisturizer. That definitely had me interested! When applying, it feels very soft and smooth, and hydrating – this could be because of the conditioning formula. Awesome! This is another bonus for my dry skin. Even hours after wear, this moisturizer kept my face hydrated and smooth. I didn’t experience any flaky or dry patches, and the scent didn’t wear away either. It’s rather pleasant.1Similar to the moisturizer from the range, the Eye Awakening Treatment was also extremely hydrating and conditioning. Coming from someone with dry and sensitive under eyes, this eye treatment had my under eyes feeling “awake” and very refreshed. I found that my under eye concealer was able to go on smoother, as there was some extra moisture in the area.

Overall, I would recommend trying this range if you get the chance. Papaya is said to be amazing for the skin, so the fact that these products have fruit extracts as well as a conditioning formula and other properties, you may find your skin looking more brighter or refreshed. The SPF in the moisturizer is extremely beneficial, as your skin will be protected while staying refreshed.
2I was also able to try out some products from The Caryl Baker Limited Edition Spring 2016 Bloom Colour Collection. My favourite products that I tried would have to be the lipstick in the shade Morning Dew, which I believe is $18.00. This lipstick is so creamy, hydrating and very pigmented. I prefer a creamy finish to a matte one, and this colour is also very complimenting for many skin tones. In person, it’s a nice pink, nude tone, which is perfect for South Asian or Ethnic skin tones. It also has a little mirror compact in part of the packaging, which is so innovative! No more having to carry a mirror with you to apply lipstick on the go.

5And finally…what is a makeup look without a little gloss? This lip-gloss is in the shade Romance. It is extremely pigmented, especially over a lipstick or liner. It is also creamy and longwearing, which gets a huge thumbs up from me. It’s definitely got the perfect name, as it’s a great shade to wear on date night or for the days you want that nice pop of colour. Like the lipstick, this lip-gloss is very complimenting to lighter or darker skin tones.
